Theth lies inside the Theth National Park, surrounded by the peaks of the Albanian Alps (Bjeshkët e Nemuna). A few highlights within walking distance of the village:

Grunas Waterfall

A 25–30 m waterfall, a scenic ~45 min walk from the village center.

The Blue Eye of Theth

A vivid turquoise natural pool, reached by a half-day hike along the river.

Lock-in Tower

The historic "Kulla e Ngujimit", a stone tower tied to the tradition of the Kanun.

Theth Church

The iconic white stone church, the most photographed landmark in the valley.

Be at the boarding point ~15 minutes before departure; seats are first-come.

The mountains are cool even in summer — pack a jacket and comfortable shoes.

Do I need to book in advance?

No reservation is required — you can buy your ticket on board or at the boarding point. In Theth, tickets are also sold at Market Jezerca across from the station.

How long is the journey?

About 2 hours each way between Shkodër and Theth, passing through Bogë.

How much does it cost?

The one-way fare is 1200 ALL (Albanian Lek), paid in cash.

Can I bring luggage and backpacks?

Yes. Standard travel luggage and hiking backpacks are carried at no extra charge.

Does the bus run all year?

The service runs daily during the season (approximately May–November). The mountain road may close in winter due to snow.
